I Need A Coach?

Coaching has been one of just a few things that’s brought major, lasting change in my life. These days, coaching is gaining popularity more and more — and for good reason. But I also know many people still wonder why, and some aren’t even sure what coaching actually is.

Over the next several blog posts, I’m going to share why I believe you should never do life without a personal coach. I understand that some people are leery about coaching. Most of the time, that’s because we’re cautious about what we don’t understand. Questions like, “Why do I need someone to help me with life?”, “Does someone have to walk with me on my journey?”, or “Do I need to be fixed?” are fair.

Here’s the truth — coaches don’t know everything about life. In fact, most have coaches themselves. I’ve heard it said that everyone should be in two coaching relationships:

  • Someone coaching them

  • Them coaching someone

I don’t know if you’re convinced yet, but I can tell you this upfront — coaching is one of the greatest investments I’ve made in my life.

A good coach will walk beside you as a guide. One of the most powerful tools they use is intentional, focused conversation. That kind of dialogue can help you push past the limits that have been holding you back. It can help you uncover the potential already inside you.

A coach can play many roles — motivator, strategist, and accountability partner. They won’t tell you what to do or hand you all the answers. Instead, they’ll help you find the answers you need for yourself. And in my coaching relationships, that’s exactly my goal — to help you discover, clarify, and move forward.

Coaching is more than a service. It’s an investment in your future — and it’s worth it.
